Project Overview
For a fast-growing family who had relocated from the city for more room and an excellent school district.  A full renovation of the first-floor living environment of a split level in a suburb of Manhattan to give them lots of space, and a bold new look, including custom cabinetry in the bathroom and the kitchen.

Objective
To blast open the whole first floor, raising the ceilings, and make the kitchen, dining room and living room loft-like, renovating the kitchen, bathroom, redoing the floors, the moldings, and upgrading all electrical for additional lighting.

Unique Element
Italian high-gloss cabinetry in the kitchen, Glasso (a crystallized glass product) custom countertops that had the depth and brilliant white that the clients were looking for to complement the color of the cabinetry.

In the Details
Beams were restructured in order to raise the ceilings.  The renovation resulted in a grand view of the first floor and a feeling of wide-open space.
